4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit (APWS)

Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) is organizing the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit (APWS) on 23-24 April 2022.

The objective of the 4th APWS is to share forward-looking solutions and practices to Heads of State and Government and support their policy decisions to accelerate actions to conduct quality growth toward a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable society by resolving various water-related issues in the recovery of COVID-19 pandemic in the region. Organisers aim to discuss how to provide practical actions and solutions in the light of science and technologies, governance, and finance.

A Pre-session on Science and Technology was held on 15th February 2022 in relation to  water and disasters/climate change. On invitation, Eng Ms. Janaki Meegastenna, Additional Director General of Irrigation (Construction and Development) and Steering Committee Member Sri Lanka Water Partnership, presented the climate change adaptation (CCA) activities carried out by the  Sri Lanka Water Partnership with the participation of  state agencies, universities and community organisations in  Sri Lanka.
