Wetland Conservation and Hands on Experience

To mark the World Wetlands Day, an interactive workshop titled as “Wetland Conservation and Hands on Experience” was held at Diyasaru Park, Sri Jayewardenepura with the participation of 51 school children and 4 teachers from 3 schools (Samudradevi Balika Vidyalaya, President Girls’ School and President Boys’ School).

World Wetland Day Celebrations with Central Environmental Authority

Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) –  a matter of debate?

Sri Lanka Water Partnership ( SLWP) has been promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management ( MHM) as part of its school WASH programs in Central Province since 2014.  A relatively unknown “Cinderella Issue” , MHM was suddenly made a highly contentious discussion point in the  national arena when it was taken up by a Presidential candidate at the recently concluded  2019 Presidential campaign.
